Meet Russel Rogers, New Research Scientist Associate III

Russel is currently working as a Research Scientist Associate III for TexNet. Russel holds a Master’s degree in Geological Science from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY.

Prior to his Master’s, Russel obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Geology from Morehead State University in Morehead, KY. He interned for the Kentucky Geological Survey during his graduate studies doing seismic wave analysis using SEISAN. Additionally, his Master’s thesis covered developing a shear wave velocity profile for the bedrock of western Kentucky.

Russel enjoys anything related to being outside: hiking, camping, kayaking, and general exploring. He also enjoys a good science-fiction read.
