Meet Angela Luciano, New Research Scientist Associate II

Angela Luciano is working as a Research Scientist Associate II for the Gulf Coast Carbon Center team under Dr. Sue Hovorka. Angela graduated from The University of Texas at Austin, receiving both a Bachelor’s in Petroleum Engineering and a Master’s in Energy and Earth Resources. 

She has worked as a field engineer in fracking operations in the Marcellus Shale with Halliburton and has conducted research with the Gulf Coast Carbon Center analyzing the Underground Injection Control Program. 

In her free time, Angela enjoys exploring coffee shops and restaurants around Austin. Additionally, she loves to play pickleball.
