Meet Dr. Sobhan Razm, New Postdoctoral Fellow

Sobhan Razm

Sobhan Razm is a driven operations research scientist with a solid background in developing optimization and analytical models and algorithms to solve complex real-world problems with energy systems, logistics, and warehousing applications. He has a hunger for innovation, exploring and learning new things, especially in the area of energy systems, logistics, and optimization techniques. His special area of expertise includes optimization models and algorithms, analytical modeling, decision-making under uncertainty, simulation, and data analysis. The applications are in energy systems, logistics and supply chain, and warehousing.

Sobhan received his M.Sc. in industrial engineering in 2019 from Iran University of Science and Technology. He obtained the Best Thesis Award (M.Sc.). Then he was selected as a Recipient of the IMT Atlantique Scholarship (Ph.D.) and was hired as a research assistant under a Ph.D. contract by IMT Atlantique in France (2019–2022). In 2023, Sobhan joined The University of Texas at Austin as a postdoctoral fellow working on energy systems optimization.
