Meet Dr. Jani Das, New Research Associate
Dr. Jani Das did her Ph.D. in energy science and engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Mumbai (Bombay), India, and her master’s degree in industrial power and automation from the National Institute of Technology in Calicut, Kerala, India. Her bachelor’s degree is in electrical and electronics engineering from the University of Calicut in Kerala, India. She earned her Ph.D. while working as a senior research fellow for the Indo–UK project “Intelligent Microgrids with Appropriate Storage of Energy (IMASE)” at IIT Bombay. She worked on variability analysis of isolated renewable energy systems for her Ph.D. Her research interests are in energy modeling and forecasting and life cycle assessment of energy systems and storage.
Jani has been in academics since 2006, teaching at various engineering colleges in Kerala, India. She enjoys music and likes to sing during her free time. She also loves to play shuttle badminton. Her husband is working at Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, and her only son is doing his bachelor’s in computer science and engineering.
