Meet Dr. Nadine Igonin, New TexNet Postdoctoral Fellow
Postdoctoral Fellow Nadine Igonin recently began working with Dr. Alexandros Savvaidis and the TexNet Seismic Monitoring Program. She is a seismologist with a B.Sc. and a Ph.D. from the University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada. Her area of expertise is injection induced seismicity and microseismic. Throughout 2021, Nadine worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Jackson School of Geosciences, with a focus on earthquake source characteristics and machine learning for earthquake differentiation. She has done research at the University of Bristol in England and has also worked for ExxonMobil in Spring, Texas. Most recently, she taught passive and active seismic methods at SAGE (Summer of Applied Geophysical Experience) in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Nadine is an avid traveler and has done many exciting road trips, including one along the Alaska Highway in Canada.
