Meet Dr. Xuesong Ding, New Research Associate
Xuesong Ding received a B.S. in geophysics in 2014 from Ocean University in China and a Ph.D. in geology in 2019 from the University of Sydney in Australia. She then joined UCLA and has since just finished her postdoc. Her research involves numerical modeling of landscape and basin evolution and the coupling of tectonic and surface processes. She is very excited and proud to join the Bureau family and can’t wait to explore the city and the state.
Beyond science, she likes to participate in community-wide 5k events with parkrun, hiking, spicy food, and definitely napping.
