Meet Sarah Murphy, New Publications Editor

Sarah Murphy

Sarah graduated from UT with a degree in Psychology in 2010, completing a thesis examining the consequences racial stereotyping in criminal cases across different levels of social distance from the jury.

In 2011, she completed Teaching English as a Foreign Language certification while volunteering at a primary school in rural Thailand. Upon her return to the states, she ran a marketing company supporting local businesses, eventually earning a Business Management Certificate through the City of Austin and UT’s joint program, and served other entrepreneurs as a consultant.

As a native Texan originally from DFW, Austin has been her home for over 15 years. She enjoys making all sorts of arts and crafts, playing board and video games, reading memoirs and sci fi, and cuddling with her dog and three cats while her partner composes and plays awesome tech-house music.
