The Bureau of Economic Geology’s H₂ Working Group held a virtual workshop to introduce new consortium GeoH₂ to 176 participants. GeoH₂ will focus on facilitating and advancing the development of a hydrogen economy at scale with proven track record of world-class research.

The Bureau of Economic Geology is excited to invite you to the introductory meeting of the new GeoH₂ research consortium, titled Geological Storage and Techno-Economic Research for a Hydrogen Economy. It begins at 9:00 a.m. on July 15.

On June 29, STARR researchers will share recent research involving Texas’ Eastern Shelf and the Fort Worth Basin at the SWS AAPG Convention. Bureau researchers will also share research about geographically diverse, economically important Texas formations and geological machine learning/artificial intelligence.

The Bureau’s TORA program recently held its spring meeting with over 100 attendees from 5 countries. Presentations covered a deep dive into machine learning as well as broad themes of Data Quality, Basin Architecture, Integrated Workflows, and Changing Business Environment and New Opportunities.
