Description

The National Weather Service mission is to provide observations, forecasts, and warnings in order for the public to make the best decisions to protect life and property. The role of a National Weather Service River Forecast Center is to take the latest weather and hydrologic information available to provide the most accurate forecasts in a timely manner.  This talk will introduce the concepts of weather, hydrology, and communication, used by the West Gulf River Forecast Center, to meet the mission goals of the National Weather Service.
