Abstract
Carbon capture and storage (CCS) is a mature and effective mechanism for reducing greenhouse gas emissions by decarbonizing fossil fuels. Although this technology has not (yet?) been implemented on a large scale, dozens of successful diverse deployments of commercial projects in the U.S. and globally illustrate technological maturity. I will provide an overview of this progress and show examples of research questions remaining.
