TexNet Hosts Very Successful 2025 Annual Meeting

The Texas Seismological Network and Seismology Research program (TexNet) recently conducted a highly informative and successful Annual Meeting at the Bureau of Economic Geology’s Austin headquarters. The 75 enthusiastic and engaged guests enjoyed three days of high-level presentations detailing the latest findings from a host of TexNet researchers. Topics from 22 presentations included advancements in seismic monitoring, three-dimensional velocity assessments, ground motion modeling, stress analysis, machine learning applications, and solutions for understanding and mitigating seismic risk across the State of Texas.
Input from participants included thoughtful questions, insights, and feedback, all of which serve to assist the network in refining research efforts, enhancing operational processes, and improving TexNet’s web-based tools to better serve its stakeholders.
TexNet will use lessons learned from the Annual Meeting to move forward, pursuing new opportunities and collaborations. For more information about the work, successes, and resources of TexNet, contact Manager and Principal Investigator Alexandros Savvaidis.
