Bureau researchers recently presented GeoH₂’s latest research to 30 sponsors at a very successful Annual Fall Meeting.

For the first time in two years, the Bureau of Economic Geology conducted its annual in-person Bureau Research Symposium. Bureau researchers presented 12 “nano talks” and 21 informative posters at the very well attended event.

Bureau researcher Shuvajit Bhattacharya received the 2022 Karcher Award from the Society of Exploration Geophysicists in recognition of “significant contributions to the science and technology of exploration geophysics by a young geophysicist of outstanding abilities.”

An upcoming virtual event on the potential of hydrogen energy will be held in December by the Bureau and AAPG. Abstract submission will be open until September 2, 2022.

The Bureau recently welcomed 62 students from the GeoFORCE 12th Grade Academy for an engaging geoscience experience led by Bureau researchers and staff.
