Stragic Plan 2019

After a year of intensive development, the Bureau has released its Strategic Plan for 2019. Initiated with input from the Bureau’s Visiting Committee and implemented by a task force comprised of a diverse cross section of Bureau researchers and staff, the planning process was facilitated by Dr. Douglas Dirking, assistant chair of the Department of Management in the UT McCombs School of Business. The Bureau’s task force was led by Director Scott W. Tinker; associate directors Jay Kipper, Mark Shuster, and Michael Young; and External Affairs Manager Mark Blount. Staff contributors included Cathy Brown, Poe Chen, Jake Covault, Julia Gale, Gürcan Gülen, Nathan Ivicic, Kim LaValley, Linda McCall, Jeff Paine, and Katherine Romanak. The group convened multiple sessions and processed feedback from Bureau colleagues and associates to refine and affirm the blueprint of vision and values. Featured in this year’s Annual Report, the plan serves not only as a concise statement of the Bureau’s mission, vision, and values but also as the basis for the origination of new research initiatives and program development.
