Welcome to the Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) Laboratory at the Bureau of Economic Geology (BEG), UT-Austin.
In order to get access to the lab, the user must complete ‘Badge access form’ and forward it to Priyanka Periwal.
For Zeiss Sigma SEM training inquiries, please contact Sara Elliott or Esti Ukar.
For all other training inquiries, please contact Priyanka Periwal or Lucy Tingwei Ko.

To better prioritize our lab tasks and allocate resources efficiently and to ensure that we meet your most critical deadlines, we would like to ask you to help fill out this work request. We would be happy to discuss and accommodate most situations and needs. We will contact you within 24 hours to go over details and completion time before the work starts.
Please note that, as of February 2025, a new policy is in effect: any incidents, accidents, or damage resulting from negligence or improper instrument use will be the responsibility of the individual's supervisor.
