Analysis of Initial Fluid Conditions for Reservoir Characterization

Abrupt changes in water character often indicate the presence of sealing faults. Normal faults can be found in conjugate pairs. Conjugate faults are created simultaneously and form at 60-to 30-degree angles from each other.

A stiff diagram is a graphical representation of cation and anion concentration within a water sample. Note on the map that there are flag-shaped diagrams and tornado-shaped diagrams indicating differences in water chemistry.
