Glen Canyon Group, Sevier Basin and Kaiparowitz Bench (12c)

Comments on Geologic Parameters

12c CO2 Solubility Brine: Formation Water Salinity:

Formation-water salinity in the Glen Canyon Group is greatest in northeastern Utah (more than 35,000 ppm) but low to moderate in southeastern Utah, where it is less than 3,000 ppm (Freethey and Cordy, 1991; U.S. Geological Survey, 1996).
