The Bureau of Economic Geology, along with our academic and industry partners, would like to give special thanks for the funding provided by the State of Texas in the creation of the TexNet Seismic Monitoring Program. With this vital support, the network is in place, we are collecting high-quality earthquake data, and we are conducting leading research on the causes of earthquakes in Texas. This information is being used to help safeguard the people of Texas, improve standards of practice, and aid in the State’s economic growth.
