Better than being named Best Name to see in a Theatre Program by Chronicle critics in 1995, Lana had the honor of being named one of Austin's Top Forty Stage Actors in the September 28, 2001, issue of the Austin Chronicle. A four-time B. Iden Payne award winner, Lana took home the Austin Critic's Table award for her roles in Vigil and Sixteen Spells to Charm a Beast. One of Lana's short films has made it to the Independent Film Channel - watch for it. In it (Last Cigarette) she plays a disgruntled office worker, and catch her in a rerelease starring David Carradine, Monster Hunter, in which Lana plays the mother of a serial killer. Her latest film credits: a nurse in both Teeth, a film by Mitchell Lichtenstein, and Fast Food Nation, a film by Richard Linklater. Lana is the proud mother of Cassie Fitzgerald, fellow actor, ACC student, and Alamo Ritz chef, and Miles (Rocky) Stone, engineer in steel fabrication and father of Cotton King Stone, Lana's only grandchild. Lana shares her condo with Courtney (a border collie) and Dr. Pants (a goldfish). She enjoys reading, film, riding her bike, entertaining Cotton, playing board games, rabid political proselytizing, and accessorizing. |
