reservoir characterization methodology comprises determining reservoir
architecture, establishing fluid-flow trends, constructing reservoir
model, and identifying reserve growth potential. Research spans multiple
reservoir types, including carbonates and siliclastics; tight, waterdrive,
and retrograde gas condensate; and waterdrive oil, secondary oil recovery,
heavy oil, and light oil. Further investigations within reservoir
type include integrating petrophysical, seismic, and geologic attributes;
3-D geocelluar model building; delineating flow units and fluid flow
compartments, and documenting reserve growth concepts under varying
reservoir conditions. |
