On May 26, the Bureau recognized recipients of this year’s UT Staff Service Awards, as well as former Bureau Senior Technical Advisors and Technical Seminar Coordinators. Hosted by Director Scott W. Tinker, 22 Bureau staff members were acknowledged for their contributions, achievements, and length of service. Notable among these are Senior Research Scientist Shirley Dutton, who this year completed 40 years of service at the Bureau, and Senior Research Scientist Jeffrey Paine, with 35 years of service. Those recognized for 20 years of service: John Andrews, Hongliu Zeng, Ramon Trevino, and Robert Reedy; for 15 years: Paula Beard, Bev Benham, Cari Breton, Melissa Coffman, Darrell Haynes, Randy McDonald, and JP Nicot; and for 10 years: Devin Krieg, Josh Lambert, Timothy Meckel, Jim Simmons, and Chris Zahm. These recipients were previously recognized at the President’s Staff Awards ceremony on April 20 at the LBJ Auditorium on the University of Texas campus.
Also acknowledged at the event were former Bureau Senior Technical Advisors Michael Hudec (2012–2014) and Bridget Scanlon (2014–2016), and 2016–2017 Technical Seminar Coordinators Todd Caldwell and Sheng Peng.
