ABSTRACT
Formation of the John A. and Katherine G. Jackson School of Geosciences at The University of Texas at Austin provides a venue to improve integration of the outreach programs hosted by the Department of Geological Sciences and Environmental Science Institute, the Institute for Geophysics, and the Bureau of Economic Geology. These programs include professional development for teachers such as teacher in the field experiences and short courses, opportunities for students to meet researchers at the Environmental Science Institute lecture series, Earth Science week, or Science Fun Day, and publications, web materials, and other resources. The informal name of the integrated venture is the UT Geoscience Alliance.

At this seminar we will show a sample of the interesting and innovative outreach programs that have been done recently.
