Dr. William Fisher was one of four invited experts on PBS' NewsHour with Jim Lehrer, Wednesday evening, May 23, 2001, in a discussion regarding the Bush administration's energy proposals for increasing coal, oil, and natural gas supplies. The debate, titled Fossil Fuels and moderated by Margaret Warner, included Ken Boyd, a petroleum geophysicist and oil and gas consultant; Christopher Flavin, president of the environmental group, Worldwatch Institute; and Phil Sharp, a lecturer on energy policy at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government.
