The Geophysical
Log Facility (GLF) is a repository for the geophysical data received
from private donations, BEG research projects, and the Railroad
Commission of Texas (RRC), which by law receives a copy of geophysical
logs from every new, deepened, or plugged well drilled in Texas.
These data are available for public viewing and copying, and include
wireline electric logs, well records, and scout tickets from hundreds
of thousands of wells located in Texas. Well data given by the RRC
are also indexed on microfiche files.
Copies of log
indexes and well logs are available. Logs are copied on continuous,
prefolded paper and cost $2.75 per log + $.50 per linear foot +
shipping and handling. Requests for copies can be made in person,
by mail, telephone, fax, or email. Mail and fax orders can be made
by using the preprinted
GLF order form or download and print a PDF
version. You will be sent an invoice for your order; cash, check,
or credit card are accepted. Copies are sent Fourth Class Mail.
First Class or FedEx Overnight service is available at additional
cost.
