Researcher Dr. Alan R. Dutton attended the New
Mexico Geological Society’s 52nd Annual Fall Field
Trip on September 2729, 2001, which focused on
the geology of the Llano Estacado. Alan gave two outcrop presentations
to the 90+ trip participants, drawing on his work of the hydrogeology
and paleohydrology of the U.S. High Plains and the Ogallala
aquifer. The photo was taken at an Ogallala Formation outcrop
near Adrian, Texas. Photo by Lew Rosenberg.

The
Bureau welcomes UT graduate Paul Murray to
its growing team of researchers. Paul moved from Houston,
Texas, where he worked as a geophysicist for PGS
Geophysical, to carry out multicomponent seismic research
with Senior Research Scientist Bob A. Hardage.
Paul earned his B.S. in Geology at UT and in 1999 graduated
from the Colorado School of Mines
with a M.S. degree in Geophysics. 09/19/01
