Fracture Permeability versus Fracture Porosity
Theoretical fracture air permeability / porosity relationship compared to the rock-fabric / petrophysical porosity, permeability fields. This graph demonstrates that permeability in touching-vug pore systems is related principally to fracture width and is sensitive to extremely small changes in fracture porosity. There is no effective method for measuring fracture width using the rock-fabric approach.
