Society
of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG)
Foundation Support

The SEG Foundation
has provided nearly $40,000 to the Bureau to help make the Devine Test
Site a better field laboratory for developing geophysical technology
and for training geophysics students. These funds have been used to
improve safety conditions and the overall working environment and appearance
of the property. In addition to site improvements listed previously,
SEG donations have helped to pay for the continued sorting and organization
of BP geophysical test data and the development of a public database
room at the Bureau's office in Austin. The Bureau is indebted to the
SEG Foundation for their assistance in creating a world-class field
laboratory where industry and academia can develop technologies needed
by the geophysical community.
