RESEARCH TOPICS Funded
by a consortium of oil companies since1992, the Clastic Reservoirs Group
(CRG) investigates clastic depositional systems, their component architecture
and processes, and the ways those elements influence exploration and development
in clastic reservoir systems. Research has three principal directions:
a well-established program of outcrop characterization, a program in the
study of modern analogues and a program in integrated study of complex
deltaic and fluvial reservoirs in subsurface data sets. The work presented
on this website was done by members of the Bureau of Economic Geology,
Clastic Reservoirs Group, including Janok P. Bhattacharya, Shirley P.
Dutton, Michael H. Gardner, Christopher D. White, Brian J. Willis, and
Lesli J. Wood.
