
- The middle reaches of Caņo Cocuinita, a typical blackwater caņo in the
northwestern delta. Blackwater
- streams are characterized by having low sediment but high tanic acid
concentrations. Note that the entire
- area is covered by low forest, which is common in the middle delta.
