Research Interests
• Risk assessment and economic valuation of oil and gas projects
• EOR and CCS deployment in developing countries
• Public policy design in oil and gas

Current Projects
As a graduate research assistant at the GCCC, I am currently involved in two different projects:
• Screening methodology optimization for the selection of optimal CO2-EOR storage sites in the U.S. Gulf Coast
• Temperature monitoring of injected CO2 in CCS projects, particularly in the Cranfield field. I work in the development of analytical models to determine potential risks associated with CCS activities.

Previous Projects
• During 2008-2012, I worked on the design of Mexico’s CCS policy at the Underministry of Energy Planning and Technological Development.
• I also evaluated the feasibility of CO2 storage projects in depleted oil fields in Mexico.

Educational Background:
• M. Sc. In Energy and Earth Resources at the Jackson School of Geosciences. University of Texas at Austin.
• B.A. in Economics. Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas. Mexico City.

Goals:
As a UT graduate, I look to strengthen my educational background and experience in the energy sector with a solid technical foundation. The GCCC offers a great opportunity to be involved in a cutting-edge research to identify, characterize, and assess geologic formations for EOR and CCS projects and address their economic feasibility.
