Goals
To report on and best represent BEG’s interests to the Texas Legislature, primarily focused on carbon sequestration

Researching the regulatory environment of Carbon Capture and Sequestration in preparation for the 2011 legislative session

-IBM’s relationship with large energy customers including Reliant, RRI, Dynegy, EOG Resources, South Texas Nuclear, Xcel, Exelon, Entergy, EFH, Suez, and Centerpoint
-Gained first hand experience with intelligent utility network components including the advanced metering infrastructure, outage management system, and home-area network
-Led discussions with executives around emerging smart grid technologies encompassing asset management, workforce management, operation and system planning, and disaster preparedness
-Closed 50 deals valued at $16.1 million + Identified 131 net new deals at $64.2 million
-Hosted customer briefings in Denver, Houston, Chicago, New Orleans, Dallas, and Austin

-Sales / Quota: 112% of sales quota through 12 quarters

Office of Saxby Chambliss, United States Senator – Intern Washington, DC, 5/06 – 7/06
-Researched and wrote policy briefs on continental shelf oil drilling, emerging alternative energy technologies, UN budgetary reforms, international adoption laws, and stem cell research
-Designed and built a searchable database of the Senator’s voting record
-Gave Capitol tours to constituents and VIP’s visiting Washington DC

Cross Cultural Solutions – Teacher & Program Coordinator
Xi’an, China, 6/05 – 7/05
-Developed the curriculum for and ran two Summer English Camps of forty children
-Assisted a university lecturer with running a training program for rural English teachers

Summerbridge Cambridge – Math & Environmental Science Teacher Cambridge, MA, 6/04 – 7/04
-Taught summer courses for Summerbridge Cambridge, a nonprofit organization devoted to creating paths to college for underrepresented middle school students
-Ran staff and community meetings, held parent teacher conferences, handled disciplinary issues, and organized field trips around the Boston area
