Research Interests
I am working with the GCCC as an undergraduate research assistant to gain more knowledge and experience in petroleum engineering and geology, while taking additional undergraduate and graduate courses in preparation for graduate school. I am interested in research in geologic carbon sequestration, enhanced oil recovery, and reservoir simulation. I also have previous experience in materials science and biopolymer research.

Education
Post-Baccalaureate Student, Cockrell School of Engineering, The University of Texas at Austin
BS Chemical Engineering (cum laude), University of the Philippines - Diliman, 2012

Current Projects

I assisted in building the well log database for the Texas Offshore Miocene Project. I performed well log curve digitizing, depth registration and editing of raster log images for the determination of carbon sequestration potential.

I am currently working on reservoir simulation for the SECARB Cranfield Stacked Storage Test Project. I am assisting in simulating the Cranfield reservoir from its initial production in the 1940's to the present, where it's used as a CO2 injection site. We are also modeling and predicting the future flow of fluids.

Goals

I plan to be in an MS Petroleum Engineering program by Fall 2014 and to use the knowledge that I gained from UT and GCCC for CO2 sequestration research.
