I am primarily interested in reflection seismology, petroleum basin analysis, and well-logs analysis. My work at the GCCC involves well-logs data management, constructing cross-sections using well logs data and digitizing well-logs.
I am currently involved in the LCRA-Fayette Power Plant studies under the supervision of David Carr and Dr Tip Meckel (the Principal Investigator). The goal of the studies is to identify potential target areas for CO2 sequestration and/or Enhanced Oil Recovery for nearby oil fields within the vicinity of Fayette Power Plant in Fayette County, Texas. My work involves well-logs data management, constructing geologic cross-sections, and picking formation tops which later will be used to develop structure maps of the area. I previously worked in the State of Texas Advance Resource Oil & Gas Recovery Project (STARR) for David Carr's sequence stratigraphy-focused subsurface research project in the Texas Panhandle-Anadarko basin.
