The University of Texas at Austin is pleased to be the primary host of the 12th International Conference on Greenhouse Gas Technologies (GHGT-12) the premier conference on greenhouse gas mitigation technologies in the world. The conference is a well-established and prestigious bi-annual event where the scientific, industrial, and policy communities gather to exchange new knowledge, information, and ideas on greenhouse gas mitigation issues.
The 12th event of the International Conference on Greenhouse Gas Control Technologies will take place in the Austin Convention Center, October 5–9, 2014. Sue Hovorka, Director of the Gulf Coast Carbon Center and member of the GHGT-12 steering committee, reports that organization of the meeting is very active. “All of us at The University of Texas look forward to welcoming our CCS colleagues to Austin next October for an exciting meeting.”
The IEA Greenhouse Gas R&D Programme (IEAGHG) is the guardian of the GHGT conferences, which are held every two years. The conference series rotates between North America, Europe and Asia. This will be the GHGT conference series’ first visit to Austin, TX, United States. With the staggering growth that the conference has seen since 2002, we anticipate some 1,800 delegates will enjoy the Austin hospitality.
