The Vision

Energy is critical to life on Earth. The most available and affordable source of energy in the United States, and the world, is coal. If coal can be made “clean”— significantly limiting negative environmental impacts— the world will take a major step forward in clean energy consumption. FutureGen represents this major step.

Our Mission

The mission of FutureGen Texas is to bring the DOE FutureGen project to Texas and partner with the region, the nation, and the world to ensure that similar facilities provide the power of the future.
