FRAC has an active program of outcrop based research. Current outcrop studies include fractured carbonate rocks in Chiapas, Texas and Wyoming, field studies of the New Albany and Barnett shales, and studies of fractures and faults in sandstones in the western US, Texas, Scotland, and Argentina.
