Annual Student Events

The annual FRAC Student and Alumni Event and Picnic

This event is always held in the Fall on Lake Travis near Austin. Organized by graduate students supported by FRAC, the purpose is to bring together a diverse group of scientists and engineers within UT and from private industry who are collaborating on understanding the role of fractures and diagenesis in reservoir behavior. The event also benefits current students and postdocs in the program at DGS, EER, BEG and PG&E and alumni from industry to promote the collaborative effort. It also helps to keep alumni involved in the program and to facilitate interaction between students in different units/disciplines and students, and helps alumni create opportunities for students and a UT community amongst alumni in this field.
