Development of a Database for Desalination Facilities in Texas

Jean-Phillippe Nicot, principal investigator; Steve Walden

The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB), in collaboration with the Bureau, has started the task of surveying desalination facilities across the state. The mission of the TWDB is to provide leadership, planning, financial assistance, information, and education for the conservation and responsible development of water for Texas. The purpose of the survey is to develop accurate information about the state of the desalination industry in Texas, which the TWDB may use in promoting and providing support for water desalination supply alternatives in the state.

Your participation in this statewide survey is greatly appreciated. The attached survey can be downloaded in pdf or word format. Please fax the survey to Dr. J.P. Nicot at 512 471-0140 or send via e-mail to jp.nicot@beg.utexas.edu. A staff member from the Bureau may contact you to complement the information you provided. Most of the information collected across the state will be compiled and posted on the TWCB Website and this Website at the completion of the project (Spring 2005) and analyzed in a companion report.
