Delegates from Ghana's Energy Commission and Energy Ministry
Participate in New Era

More delegates from Ghana became alumni of CEE's annual capacity-building program New Era in Oil, Gas & Power Value Creation. This year's program hosted 26 delegates from many countries, including Ghana. This year's participants, supported by USAID through CEE's Smart Development Initiative grant, were Mr. Joseph Essandoh-Yeddu, Chief Programme Analyst, Energy Commission of Ghana, Mr. Francis Gbeddy, Head of Power Division, Energy Commission of Ghana, and Mr. Kwaku Boateng from Ghana's Energy Ministry.

Another delegate, Mr. Sulemanu Koney, Director, Analysis, Research & Finance of the Ghana Chamber of Mines attended the program as well.

In addition to New Era program activities, delegates spent time discussing various developments in Ghana, including current activities and future of the Resource Center for Energy Economics and Regulation (RCEER) in Ghana as it transitions to its role as a regional center. It is expected that these delegates will continue to mentor and contribute to the operation of the Resource Center.

Through USAID support, partners from Ghana have been regular attendees of the New Era program since the initiation of CEE's activities in Ghana. Participation in the program is one of the key activities of CEE's partnership activities in Ghana and other countries.
