Midland Core Research Center (MCRC) contains more than 230,000
boxes of core and 210,000 boxes of cuttings from wells drilled throughout
Texas, the U.S., and the world, all of which are available for public
viewing and research. This core lab was donated by Shell Oil Company
in 1994. Please
contact Guadalupe "Lupe" Rendon, facility manager, for information
regarding CRC policies, procedures, fees, and to arrange for core
viewings. Other services are available upon request. Public
facilities include core examination layout rooms and processing rooms
for slabbing core. Low-priced, CD-ROM-formatted CRC inventories are
available. Nominal fees are charged to rent table space and to view
core. |
