Recent seismic technology research topics at ConocoPhillips

ConocoPhillips places an emphasis on research and technology development to support its core upstream business. Seismic exploration is the primary technique employed to explore for and define new reservoirs and so improving and refining the seismic method continues to play an important role for the company. In this seminar, I will present an overview of ConocoPhillips' seismic research activities, and delve into three topics in more detail. The three topics will be ZenSeisTM (ConocoPhillips' Vibroseis acquisition technique), scenario based imaging, and multiples - from attenuation to elimination.
